Support and partnership

What it takes to open the doors.

Journey to Recovery is in its development and funding stage. The support we need right now is concrete: capital for the facility, operating funding for the first year, referral agreements, and employers willing to hire our residents.

About charitable deductions. Journey to Recovery Behavioral Health and Wellness Center is a Michigan nonprofit corporation whose 501(c)(3) application is pending with the IRS. Until the IRS issues a determination letter, we cannot represent that contributions are tax-deductible. Donors who wish to wait for that determination are welcome to tell us, and we will notify them when it is issued.

Our full organizational and program narrative, projected budget, staffing plan, and outcome measures are available to any funder considering an application or invitation.

Other ways to help

Not every contribution is a check.

Hire our residents

Employers willing to interview men with records and recent recovery are among the most valuable partners a program like this can have. We handle transportation, accountability, and support.

Refer and coordinate

Courts, jails, hospitals, and treatment providers who want a structured, accountable placement for men leaving their care.

Provide professional services

Pro bono or discounted legal, accounting, architectural, clinical consulting, IT, and grant-writing support during the development stage.

Serve on the board

We are strengthening our board with people who bring behavioral health, finance, real estate, legal, workforce, or lived-experience perspective.

Donate goods and furnishings

As the facility comes online we will need beds, linens, kitchen equipment, computers, classroom furnishings, and work clothing.

Volunteer

Mutual-help meeting facilitation, mentoring, life-skills instruction, tutoring, and transportation support once residents are on site.

Give

Making a contribution.

Contributions during the development stage go directly toward facility readiness, licensure and certification costs, insurance, and the staffing required to open safely.
